Is there a way without creating a work plane to create a index at a type in angle for positioning?

Do the cut at top plane and type in the index angle you need in the machine after you post it. This will work if 0,0,0 is the same as the index plane.

one way which I have used to do what you are asking about is to draw the axis of rotation in the drawing, and save new drawings as I rotate it along the axis. then I can edit the programs together and put in rotational moves for the relative positions into the g code file. I also use those position changes to make moves to get the spindle out of the way during the rotations as I don't have sufficient z clearance to lift over. this method also allows you to have your axis of rotation on other than the x or y axis.
not very elegant, but it allows for indexing with out multi axis capability in MC
Just so you know you do not need the multi axis to do 4th postioning or axis sub.
you can do it with a Level mill 1.
I am so agaisnt the hand coding and pasting as the system will simply out put it for you.
