I am new to the stuff too, so I understand your enthusiam. Go and check out www.buildyourcnc.com The guy there is real nice and he has a lot of really good info on building a 2'x3' (i think) router fairly cheap. He sells kits for around $700, I dont know about international shipping. You could build your own for cheaper of course, but you asked about a kit. He shows how to build one using a small hack saw, miter block, Drill and a router (maybe a circular saw if you cant get the hardware store to cut it for you. Real easy simple stuff. Here are some other links that I have been compiling that may help you out. Sorry if the formatting sucks. I am just going to copy and paste from one of my own files because I am lazy like that

Thanks you for the Fast reply and the Great great link.

i am really on a Shoestring here , with very limited resources , and also limited cash .

WHat i am doing to do is related to another small project i am doing , which i am willing to share -

i can produce digital print out of photo at good price -
    eg. 5"x 7 " 10 x 8 , 10, 16 : 20 x 24 -

my price for 20x 24 print out is as low as $5 usd for large order .( 50 pcs up )
i been getting demand for photo frame from my on going project .

    .

as this is so so new to me i will try my best to read up as much info as i can before i start throwing silly question.

bascially my needs will be cutting up MDF as large as 140cm x 70 cm and the MDF i work with is usually 6mm - 9 mm - 12 mm - 15 mm .

is there anyone out there who can help me out with building the much needed parts - i am willing to share other resources within my reach with you ..

i am in thailand . and i travel in asia offen ,

this is really a hobby project i am starting hoping it would take off.

and once again many thanks to thegimpster

if i build the whole Machine with MDF or Wood , would it be possible to get everything within 500-700 ?

    HI!
Check www.solsylva.com he offers plans on 5 routertables. If you strech his biggest router a little you can cut up to 140x70cm!

500 to 700 is doable, because I did it. even if you include the welder.
    150 for steel
    100 for mig welder
    50 for electroincs
    180 for motors
    6 for allthread
    Bearings I had
    Nuts and bolts I had
    55 chop saw
power supplies are old computer ones

    And my router is 39cm x 120cm x 10 cm or so

Now I know you have limited resources, but I'm just saying its doable for way less. If you do the 3 axis one from insturctables.com and can salvage some motors from old coppiers or big dot matrix printers you could probably do it for under $100 it just depends on how resourceful you are. Me I am resourceful because I am poor. Funny how it works that way.

With the electroincs i went with the Allegro based one found here http://pminmo.com/ss3977/ss3977.htm and the 4 axis interface board on the sight. If you go to the allegro website they will send you up to 6 of the chips for free. I made the boards my self, and soldered them myself. So I have about $50 in the electroics. Here is a website for cheap board etcher

    http://www.instructables.com/id/SNZUZBXF5Y3YQNJ/ Cheap reuseable PCB etchant

http://www.fullnet.com/~tomg/gooteepc.htm#1 good guide on pcb toner transfer

You can make a ton of etchant for like $8. Just dont get it on metal, it will eat the hell out of it, trust me.

The site www.pminmo.com has some cheaper and easier boards to build.

If you are interested in motors, I have my old ones for sale in the classified sections under stepper motors. I'd cut you a deal on them if you were interested.

The www.solsylva.com plans are ok, but you have to buy them. That cuts down on the cheap factor, but they are very good plans. I still think www.buildyourcnc.com is the cheapest/easiest way to go. I didnt say best, but best for the budget.

I'm done stealing the converstaion, its a slow day at work.

burn most of my saving on it .
and to make it a little harded my spending just double ..

SO this is really one of my Hobby venture kinda thing .. which i can't afford any mess up

i will dedicate myself to reading up info forlike another 3-4 days -

and will start to post more question and helpfully angel out there can offer me some light

anyone of your guys even come to thailand give me a call stay in bangkok now ,

    back tp CNC

the pages i saw so far .. is really far advance from what i know maybe due to my poor english alot of the term is not that easy for me to understand ..

seem like i need 3 AXIS MACHINE -
AND THOS PONDER IN MY MIND IF 4 AXIS WOULD BE BETTER ?

WOULD IT SLOW DOWN MY WORK IS IT 4 AXIS ?

i hardly see any router on the market that look anything like thos eon the forum ..

i saw some really large bulky Router by MAKITA .

are those ok ? or am i looking At the wrong place .

    ..

    from the build up ..
i think so far i should be able to get the TABLE out .

and other wooden parts or metal welded or steel tubing firm . parts done ..

    .

anyone have OLd solsylva plans for sale .. or...other wise
