Re: Okuma LB15 position help
Are you by chance trying to set positive X and Z positions as if you were "homing" a Fanuc machine? The Okuma's do not have a home, so that could be the issue. If you've done that, you should be able to go into the back of the machine and get out your Management Data card and enter the Zero set numbers and be back in business. The absolute encoders always know where they are even across power off, so not homing is required. You can even power off, move the ballscrew and power up and they still will know where they are.
The G00 command will take you to the X and Z limits and go no further even if the command is higher.
X0 is normally set to the center of a boring bar/drill holder and you would drill a hole at X0 with no X tool offset. Z would be set to where your program zero is by moving the turret to where you want Z 0 to be and then pressing CAL 0 Write. You will have odd numbers in your Zero Set registers, but your actual position should show good positions. X zero set is typically recorded on the DMC as well.
