USB motion card G31 woes/replacement options?

    Hello everyone,

First post here but I have been looking at many threads for years.
Quick background. I built a small CNC machine a few years back (600mm X 600mm, gecko G540, mach 3) and learnt the rope on it.

Decided to go bigger and purchased an ACCTEK CNC (2400 X 1200mm, USB motion card controller, mach 3)
Finally finished installing it and decided to try it.
As usual I ran autoleveller first but I couldn't get it to work.same with Gcode ripper.
Went thru this forum (including this excellent thread https://www.cnczone.com/forums/xzero-cnc/192666-cnc-3.html) as well as autoleveller forum trying to find a solution but to no avail.
I tried to run the macro suggested by gskular as well as adding G4 P1 commands before the G31 command but my X and Y coordinates in the files are always all over the shop and unusable.

My questions are as follow :

-since the macro suggested by gskular seems to work for Z coordinates, can the same macro (with a different variable)be used for X and Y?

-if I cannot get it to work, what are the differents option available to replace the USB motion card?
I thought of installing the G540 controller from my small CNC but the G540 can only handle 3.5amps and the motors of the new CNC are 5amps each.

    I hope this makes sense.
    looking forward to everyone's input

    Regards

Can't help with the macros. Seems like all of the Chinese controllers are a little different, but none of them work well with probing.

Replace it with either an ESS, or one of CNC Drive's controllers. If you go with the CNC Drive controllers, I'd also recommend switching from Mach3 to UCCNC.

    Yes, Ethernet Smooth Stepper.

I would not recommend any USB board. Ethernet is much better.
