    Okuma 5020L Cant send files .. All of a sudden

    This is crazy.
    I have been using my Okuma Cadet ( OSP 5020L ) lathe for years .
    transfer has been working fine .
    Now all of a sudden its not communicating

    Baud 2400
    Data bits 7
    Parity Even
    Stop Bits 1
    Xon\Xoff


    Parameters
    #1 01011011
    #12 00100010

    Brand new Cable for the RS 232 ..


    Could it be the RS 232 COMM Board??
    Can I turn the machine off and Install a new board or
    do I have to back up the parameters if I do swap the board ???

    If I have to back up the parameters, how is it done if the RS -232 isn't working properly ???

    Any thoughts would be of great appreciation.

    It should have a floppy drive.
