Is anyone in or near the Portland Oregon area that is familiar with installing and HSD ATC Spindle? I have a new one and have gotten to the point where I have time to install it but could really use some assistance...
Thanks!
Dave

Chris,
Thank you, I have contacted Hans.
I had contacted another dealer/rep in Salem or Eugene, and they called but said they were busy and would get back to me... never heard from them again.
Regards,
Dave
Great! I realize it is a 2-3 hour drive from you in Portland but he's one of our authorized dealers so he can assist you.

Chris,
Any more info... prices, etc?
Chris,
Still waiting for additional information: (got the price for the Logic Controller)
- Photos of the installed solenoids? ( I want to see what I am up against)
- Photos of the installed Logic Controller, including what needs to go into the LC+ Controller and Computer running the LC+ (I need to see what I have to do on my end...)
- Prices for the rebuilt slide, etc? (I need to decide on buy vs. make...)
- Answer regarding the derating of single phase into my 3ph VFD? (I need to decide to keep or get another one)

... Communication with Techno has devolved into business as usual...
I am in discussions with another manufacturer who is willing to retro fit better AC Servos, replace the Techno controller with a Mach3 system, and assist in installation of the HSD ES915 spindle.
If I can get a decent price on the retro-fit, I will go that route. This will eliminate any customer service needs from Techno. Even if I lose another design flawed ball screw, I can get it from another supplier for a better price... same with linear slides and ball screw nut...
I admit defeat... Techno wins.

I'll have photos posted before I have to leave the office today. I apologize that at the shrinking possibility of a purchase that I have not disregarded new customers in service of this issue. The expressed interest to purchase from competing dealers creates a situation where I have to put support at lower priority. Pressure is put on me to prioritize new customers and clients purchasing components from us (we don't have hundreds of tech reps, only 3).
If you could explain the flawed ball screw design so I could forward the info to the engineers; We receive our linear motion components from Isel (Germany) and THK (Japan) so any interest in failure rate and shoddy construction is information we need.
Note: Regardless of your intentions in acquiring components from us I'll post photos here of the ATC layout on a LC+ 4896 w/ HSD spindle so everyone can see what it looks like and give a brief explanation of how it works.
Thanks, and my apologies in the slow movement of this,
Chris @ Techno
