    Optimisation problem for 3D Milling

    Hi guys,

Hope you can help me out with this. My problem is shown in the attached screenshot.

I'm very new to all this but what I'm trying to do is do a finishing pass with linear step over pattern the problem after completing a step over SolidCAM is electing to move the tool up the Z axis, position across to the next step over and then move the bit back down. This is highly inefficient in terms of machine time but I have no idea how to avoid this with my somewhat limited knowledge.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
