    Anyone need a ring segment nesting calculator?

    You input outside Ø or R, inside Ø or R, included angle or # of pieces in 360°, # of rows, # of columns, and spacing.

    It outputs the length and height of each segment, and the length and height of the nest.

    It's just for calculating material use - it doesn't output any g-code or work with CAD.

    Here it is. Works best in Excel, but also works in OpenOffice (but in OpenOffice you lose the toggle between Ø and R).

    this is a useful utility

    by the way,
    do you have or know if there is a length calculator of a dxf file

    We use ProNest, which calculates the extents (length & width) of CAD files upon import.
