    Yaskawa servo with Omron drive

    Hello,
will Yaskawa servo SGMP-04V316 work with Omron drive R88D-UA12V?
Wats V and A are matching.
I have heard that Omron is rebranded Yaskawa, but i am stil not sure.
Do any one know what would be Yaskawa name for Omron R88D-UA12V
it think would be something like SGDA04V/A P/S?
    Greetings,
    Antek

Yes you can use it , May be you required a little pin configuration change in multi strand cable ( I mean on connector)

    R88D-UA12V = SGDA-04VA - just re badged

    I am running 2 x SGDA-04AP together with an R88-UA12V.

The Omron manual is a bit easier to understand than the Yaskawa one, translation wise.

The Yaskawa Sigma Win software talks to them both equally.

The only difference that I have seen mentioned is needing an external resistor for 5v on the pulse/dir signal on the Yaskawa but not on the Omron, I couldn't measure any differences and I run mine without.

    Slight bit of finger trouble

    SGDA-04APP

    SGDA - Sigma series
    -04 - 400watt 0.53HP
    A - 220 volt (V is EC compliant 220 v )
    P - Position control (pulse/dir) - S - Velocity/Torque mode ( +- 10v )
P SGMP motor (blank is SGM motor)

You can find the manuals on the net - worth downloading.

I will search for some Omron manuals, I have allredy some Yaskawa
    sigma series downloaded.
SGMP-04V316 should work witch 220v CE but it's only optional(?) so
it will work with 220v not CE as well?
    Thanks,
    Antek
