    conquest 42 jogging problem

I've got the machine online finally but I've run into another snag.. Im having trouble jogging the Z axis in the negative direction (toward the spindle). I know right when it boots you have to home the turret, first the x axis negative, then the z axis negative, then put the two positive so that it can home the axis. Problem is that it will only jog the X axis negative and not the Z.

-. I jogged the X axis more than 1" so its not that I havent moved the X enough to get to the Z.
-. I tried using the "OT RELEASE" soft key in conjunction with the jog arrows, and i was able to jog in both the X + and , as well as the Z in the + direction (away from the spindle) but it wont jog into the - direction (toward the spindle).
-. I checked on the diagnosis page, diagnostic #0021 appears to be what signals the jog keys.
    00010000: At rest
    00010001: when i hold X+
    00010010: when i hold X-
    00010100: when i hold Z+
    00011000: when i hold Z-
01010000: and when i hold the OT RELEASE
and while holding the OT RELEASE along with any of the jog soft buttons, the bits seem to change accordingly.

So it is able to move the Z axis, but only in the plus direction. The Z- soft key appears to be functioning in the diagnostic sense. And i really dont think its me just failing to home it properly at this point. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Did you try jogging the Z axis in the minus direction until it stops and then the x axis in the minus direction until it stops and then move each axis in the plus direction until it homes, all you should have to do it tap the +x and +Z and they should go home. If you have a bottom axis you will have to do this well. -Z,-x, -E, +E, +x, + Z

One thing I forgot to mention that I have seen in the past many time which would prevent an axis from moving in a certain direction is the tool probe inputs! If one of them is "on" it will prevent you from jogging. Check inputs, 4.2, 4.3, 4.4 & 4.5 to see if any of these are "1". They should all be "0"
