I was trying to equal out the reading/output on my vfd to match the s commands in mach3.
If I type m3 s12000 the vdf reads 350hz. As the vfd runs from 0 to 400hz this scale is wrong.
S12000 should be 200hz.
I tried altering the ratio from 1 but that did nothing. However if I raised the max pulley speed to 44000 then s12000 did produce a 200hz vfd output. Therefore I know if I want 12000rpm s12000 will give me that.
I don't know if this is the right way to do this. If I change my pulley to 6000-24000 Will that do the same thing?
I did see a YouTube video and the user altered the velocity in motor tuning to achieve the same thing.

What ever works to get you going nothing is written in stone, there are a lot of variables to setting the spindle output, as what is a right or wrong, everyone's settings seem to be slightly different, most have always had problems setting this up, it normally can be corrected by adjusting the ratio
How to setup the pulley Ratio
M3S6000 what is the actual RPM measured at the spindle
Divide 6000 x the actual RPM this then is your pulley ratio

I will help you set up so whatever speed you set in mach3 will be the speed your drive outputs. Mine is working like that....
Hi....i sent you the pics of my mach3 settings.....did you try them?
I could try comparing your profile to mine to save you time?

Those settings on my mach3 gives me ....
1) Mach3/0 = 0 V = 0 Hz on drive
2) Mach3/12000 = 5 V = 200 Hz on drive
3) Mach3/24000 = 9.89 V = 398 Hz on drive
There is no reason that it should not work for you cause we have the same bob....and we have set up your drive properly for 0- 10 V
I am at work , just started another 12hr shift
When i get home tomorrow morning i'll send you the pic of that setting....but i can't remember adjusting it, could still be default but i am not 100% sure.
I am curious, what machine do you have?
Did you build your own control panel?
What size spindle motor do you have?
What size are your stepper motors?
