I’ve read that there’s some pretty quiet routers, unfortunately I had already bought my spindle and VFD. They were pretty cheap it’s a Huanyang VFD and spindle your router probably cost more. Hopefully mine lasts for a while and if not at least the hard work is done and it’s easy to swap out for a Hitachi VFD which I wish I would have seen before I bought mine. Also the spindle is super easy to swap out. How does the router do at lower rpms?

It runs to 24,000 Rpm's never an issue and I do not need to mess with water or coolant. Electronic speed control keeps the torque constant. Less than 80 dB.
