Just added a Tormach (stock) coolant pump, and it is quite pathetic in terms of pressure and flow rate. Is there a forum consensus of a more powerful aftermarket pump? Is the mechanical interface a standard of some sort?
Thanks!
Dan

Hi Dan,
What machine do you have ?
First thing i would do is change out the standard line to 5/8 ID Hose.
The flow will greatly increase,
Secondly i would look into some kind of filter to stop the nozzles from being clogged with chips.
Also, check out LMD-NC.com
We make coolant rings for the Tormach machines that give 360 coverage and work with the ATC

Folks on the Tormach Facebook groups seem to like inexpensive sumps for use as coolant pumps.
Check the facebook groups. I and several others have posted links to upgraded pumps available on amazon and through other retailers. Pretty simple to do.
