We are looking at purchasing a new waterjet and a SAME HJ400 has popped up near us.
I've been trying to find more information on them, but can't seem to find any reviews either negative or positive which is strange in this day and age, especially for a company that says it has been in business for 20+ years.

Does anyone have any experience with the brand? I would love to hear

I've been around waterjet machines now for over 20 years and I can say that I have never come across one yet so can't comment on the quality of this machine, however I would definitely recommend checking out if there is any technical support readily available for this brand before committing to a purchase.

So it looks to be Chinese base with a KMT pump. The pumps I have worked on, buying parts and support shouldn't be a issue, its the base I would steer clear of, I'm not a fan of having to stay up till Midnight to talk to support on the other side of the world, not being able to talk to someone and parts availability for the machine isn't going to be NDA. Find a good used machine that is made here you will rest easier

SAME is chinese water jet factory, yes, it opens over 20 years, Why I know this company because our factory offers pumps to SAME since 2002, btw, our company named APW Water jet(www.apwwaterjet.com) which start 1995, It isn't Ad.
I tell you why you are not easy to find reviews. Your puzzle is a good question, we, Chinese water jet factories are struggling it. No one know us even we offer good value productions.
1, we are not good at English marketing and customers are most from non-english countries.
2,Water jet is a tiny market in CNC World, the people who knows internationl marketing well don't choose to work in water jet factories.
3,Price tag is low, leading we have no too much money on Exhibitions or Google Ads.
Last year, we bring 3m*2m table,37KW sevro pump , AC 5 Axis Water jet combo to Germany Glass Exhibition, only 40000 dollars, nearly no one trusts, but it normal price in Alibaba. But this exhibition costs us 50000 dollars, can you believe? BFT in the same exhibition, their water jet is 5 times more expensive.
4.SAME main overseas market is Austria, because boss' daughter live in there.
5.Normally, Chinese water jet factory don't choose KMT or other countries' pump, it's too expensive, otherwise, customer says he need KMT Pump.
6, Chinese water jet factory has already complete whole-chain making, design- manufactue - asserly- sale-tech-support Because of Goverment supporting us since trade war between China and US. No allowed importing water jet to National Companies or Collages. So you can trust Chinese Factories.
7.after-sale problem, we are try our best to help customers in 7*24*365. We understand customer's worries, so in my company ask all sales to learn live-steaming, tiktok, todesk and so on.
