Pathpilot 1.9.8
usb keyboard and mouse
boot pathpilot reference axes
ctrl alt held down and tap x goes into terminal with Pathpilot loaded and referenced
the ctrl alt x works here 100% of the time.
on my machine I just hit exit in pathpilot, this lets me get to the desktop on the top line of the screen, make my changes, then hit cancel and its back into Pathpilot. I dont know if this will work on other machines but it does on mine.

Thread back from the dead
I found this thread as I have spent a lot of time digging for information on how to tune or modify my Tormach PCNC 1100 spindle speeds. I have been experiencing problems tapping, which seem to be related to spindle speeds. The programmed/screen displayed RPMs and actual spindle RPMs vary slightly, and would like to dial them in more!
I tried the spindle re-calibration procedure (low belt 500 RPM. I got 34.3 Hz and 501 RPM at the spindle with a tachometer though the VFD adjustment pot) I tired to edited / modify my post-processor, and added some code which didn’t work the way I wanted it to. I mainly run programs from CAM, but had no luck there. I read this thread over and over and tried to add the codes, modified it to only 6 line values as was mentioned in this thread, but it still errors out on startup. I'm running PathPilot V2.10.1. I see the file names have changed since this thread, and some of the coding is slightly different. I also mapped the display to actual RPM with Hz and noted the differences between them.
Can someone help me out?
I believe this is the current file to be modified: "tormach_mill_mesa.hal"
