    Gerber Sabre 408 poulies

    Hi all,

    I'm looking to replace all 3 (X, Y, Z) motors on a Geber Sabre 408 machine.

The standard motors have 11mm diameter 35mm long shafts and to make things easier for myself, I would like to use new pulleys on the shafts.

Does anyone know the specifics of the pulleys used?

Thanks much to whoever has information.

What I am planning on doing (based on a YouTube video, sort of), is use closed loop steppers, that have an 8mm shaft, then use add a 12mm rigid coupler attached with set screws.

The video I saw had the OEM pulley drilled out to fit the coupler, I will try to lathe cut the coupler to the OEM 11mm size.

Of course if the shaft is 35mm long, the bits I bought might not work but they are in the mail so too early to tell.
