I'm stumped on dual rotary phase converters, someone please help, they quit working

I've been running a 20hp and a 30hp in parallel with a disconnect between them for 5+ years without a problem for when I don't need full power. Now when I connect them it blows the 20hp breaker and fuses. A while back I added a sub panel to handle the 20hp circuit requirements but even now that I rewired to take that out of action completely it still doesn't work. I can't figure what I did wrong. I've traced all wires from front to back and every connection is phased the same unless I'm missing something. Has to be that but I can't find it. Anyone have any ideas???

If you physically disconnect the 20 hp unit at the machine JB( peckerhead) what happens?
This will tell you if your rotary unit has an issue.
