I would like to ask you on your previouse schematic you placed here there is R2 and R3 can you tell me nominals I mean how big is resistanse? Also do you have PWM on leg 15 and 16????

In my first view is very interesting.
Specially on page is all: shecmatic and SOURCE code.

    Does anybody try this project?

    Smile Servo Motor Controller

    Hi Everyone ,

    http://elm-chan.org/works/smc/report_e.html

I have collected all the parts needed to build my servo driver. Should I just insert the tiny2313 directly and start running the motors ? OR DO I HAVE TO PROGRAM THE ATTINY2313 ? IF PROGRAM THEN PLZ GUIDE ME TO SOURCE [email protected] - [email protected]

    Hi Alex,

Sorry for late answer. Your point about R2 and R3 values made me check the schematics again, and I saw the point.

When you look at the schematics from http://elm-chan.org/works/smc/report_e.html (namely circuit diagram for smc3/a and High Power Drive) those resistors are not necessary... My mistake.

The High Power Drive schematics of elm-chan.org is almost the same with the UHU power drive part posted by smarbaga. 1st pins of IR2184s is directly connected to OC1A and OC1B pins of AtTiny2313. I will update the schematic and upload it again.

I also added max232 for communication.

But I haven't made the pcb. I could not find IR2184 chips in electronics stores in my city, will check from another city.

    Hope this helps.

    hello
these ir2184 fet drivers chips are quite hard to find and are expensive.
i wonder if there is another fet driver chip, more common and less expensive that can replace these ir2184's.
like the TC4426 or mc34151, any other sugestions?

    Hello
Fet driver 2184 cost about 1 USD. I think it is not so expensive. You can cange it with discrete elements. Just download 2184 datasheet and make due to functionla shematic.

    Alex.

    Hi!
I think resistors needed for pullup or to decrease a nose. so shematic looks like mine. This evening I had started with my controller but I have an errors. I need to change parameters. Also I am not sure in my encoder.
Regards to Mike. Thanks for help.

    Regards to all.

    hello
hummm, where do you get those 2184 drivers for $1.00.
i was talking to a supplier just yesterday that wanted $12.00 each for them.
digikey wants $4.50 each. the last tube i bought (50 pcs) i got directly from
international rectifier, a little less than $4.50 each. + $12 shipping.
i have attached another h_bridge design,
i have not tested it yet as i don't have the fet driver chips.
all comments and sugestions would be greatly appreciated.

    hello
i could draw one for you.
but i don't know if it will work. (as is )
i was waiting for someone to say it needs some
    conditioning or something like that,
because it looks to simple to work.
fet on and off delay times could be adjusted in software
    to match different fets,
the fet driver sells at digikey for $2.00 and is 3 amps o/p.
i think a perf board to prove the consept would be a good idea
    just incase it needs somethig.
but a layout can always be modifyed.
i will try to get a layout of this cct on here tomorrow night.
unless the water pipes freeze or something . :-)

    hello
i managed to get some time to lay out a driver board for a design that i think might work.
attached is the schematic and pc board layout.
this has not been tested yet and the current monitor is not on the layout.
as usual, your sugestions are greatly appreciated
