    Looking for zero backlash ballscrews

I have heard that CandGResearch was the place to get them, website is down and Dan Mauch has advised that Chuck McGhee had moved east and his shop is not yet setup.

    Any other recommendations?

    Thanks all

    Gary

HIWIN makes some real jewelry when it comes to precision ground remove and replace ball screws for various milling machines - surely, they can be adapted to various other applications.

When you use ture, high preload, ball screw support bearings, the axial accuracies and backlash values can be deadly accurate.

Hello Gary I don't know what size ballscrew you need .I have a pallet of mostly double nut preloaded ball screws I need to get rid of. They came from a plant that makes carbide end mills. These are used and they came off of there cnc grinders . They may not be good for a cnc grinder but I think they are perfect for a cnc router or small milling machine. They take the screws out of there machines after a certian number of hours before they have problems with them.So they still feel smothe and tight. Most of them are 33 inchs long 22 inchs of travel 25 mm dia and 10mm leed. If you live close to greenville SC you can come look at them in person .I would like to sell them for $30 each plus shipping.
    Thanks

    G'Day Tim.
    Just a quick enquiry.
What are the diameters of the rods, and what TPI?
I live in Melbourne Australia, and things are pretty pricey here.
What would shipping for 2x 800mm unit be?

I originally posted this in the Shoptask machine forum as I need screws that will fit the Shoptask Eldorado Bridgemill (Version prior to the newer Tripower).

Moderator saw fit to move the post here and begin this thread.

CandGResearch used to make sets specific to this machine but I have heard that Chuck has moved east and not setup his shop as yet.

I am looking for a bolt on set and would have no ideay hoe to go about ordering a set from the recommended site that would not need modification.

    Any help is appreciated.
