Isn't it just oxidation? It happens on most metals when heated.

is there a experation for your files on the file hoster? i was downloading some dxfs yesturday and starting with the fish splash they seemed to be random from there on if they were there or not. 9 total that didn't come up.

How much do you know about Autocad? I tried the offset trick and autocad wouldn't let me offset a polyline. I have a different file I am trying to do the same thing on now, and I had to explode the letters and offset each (of many) entities. Very time consuming, any ideas?

AutoCAD can be picky at times when using offsets, especially when the offset will intersect itself. If your dealing with closed shapes, try using pedit to close the polyline if it's not allready. Also, zoom in very close to pick a more accurate offset location, If not zoomed in close enough, AutoCAD can get confused by the location you pick.
