2 plutos are not supported at this time. It looks to be possible but would require some development.

    http://linuxcnc.org/docs/html/hal_drivers.html#r1_8_6

You might want to look at the 7i43 (if you haven't bought the pluto yet) http://mesanet.com/parallelcardinfo.html It is close to the same price and is made a lot better. (although I am not sure if you can use 2 on one computer but it is a lot more flexable - you might want to add what you're trying to do)

EDIT - I have been told up to 4 are supported of the 7i43 but not tested yet.

On a side note - it has been found out that the popular "NetMOS" aka "MosChip 9805" PCI parport cards do not work. They are broken in EPP mode.

    Sam,

Do you know if the same bug exists for the NetMOS 9815?

We where just discussing that on irc. I don't know if anyone has tested that.

archivist, skunkworks: the 9815 hasnt been explicitly tested, but the NetMos/MosChip FAQ said their EPP bug affects all the 98XX chips

    Hello again!

Maybe you advise me model of extension board PCI to LPT that Pluto works with it?
My Pluto board works only with LPT port and doesn't work with my extension board PCI to LPT.

    Thanks a lot

Anything that advertises EPP support, and that doesnt use a NetMos/MosChip chip. The chipset is not usually advertised on the box, you'll probably have to look at the board itself and see what it says on the big chip.

Dont know about the Pluto but it is similar to the 7I43. I just got through testing some PCI parallel port cards with the 7I43. These three cards work fine with the 7I43 and are likely (but not guaranteed) to work with the Pluto:

LAVA MOKO based (relatively expensive ~$30 but the fastest of all cards tested)

    SUN1888 Based (Startech PCI1P = SUNIX A4008T) ~$20

OX Semi OXPCI952 based (? rare)
