    Very nice.

I like the plugin type of the Naos. Looks like a G250/G540 style of setup.

At what voltages and currents have you tested these chips?

Did you also "intentionally" forgot the power-up and down sequence mentioned in the datasheet?

    Nice work.

    Regards,
    Luc.

PS: I still should have a bunch of soldercup DB25's left over from my mini and mainframe computer service time ages ago, these can be mounted easily with the PCB between the pins.
So you gave me a new idea for an easy configuration...

Yes I did intentionally skip the "recommended" sequencing, kind of, Enable and reset are sequenced. Since there is no timing spec on the Vdd to VMA sequence, I decided to build it and see if there are any issues. So far no problems.

    Question

    Phil,

Do you sell any of these as kits?

    How is the performance?

    Any Video?

Kits, possibly in the future. Performance of the part is very good considering a monolythic IC. No video.

I will try with this IC.
    - Anyboby have the Eagle library of this chip to share?
    - I'm not electronic specialist, could any any one tell me how to calculate Rsense watts?
_ Phil, I have good references of your schematics, do you have one to share with us?

Sorry, not yet. I probably shouldn't have posted the picture.... I have several designs done and running, but won't have boards built in quantity till I get the last two designs "rung out". And I do this in my spare time when I'm in the mood......

    very nive thread !

    hi everybody,
I just downloaded the eagle data from here. I will probably create my own layout starting with this one.
Any known issues with the current board ?
Biggest problem will be probably from where to get the chip (in old germany)

    real good job,
    regards
    Gerd

    applying power supply

    I have one question:
In the data sheet p 28, I found "How to turn on the Power ...
Turn on VDD. When the voltage has stabilized, turn on VMA/B.
How is your design dealing with it ?

    kind regards
    Gerd

    thanks celladon1.
Yes this is a solution. Do you have any experience, can it really destroy the device without the relay ?
Do the additional free wheeling diodes reduce thermal load ?

    regards
