Yes it is step and direction. It has an internal oscillator that you can hook up the step input to and the drive works fine. I can't however determine the voltage I don't have a scope. I am trying to run it from Mach2, with a soundlogid reakkout board.=b step and direction 5V setting on the step. I have tested the PC side and the sound logic breakout board with another (PacSci) drive that takes a 5V step input and it works fine. So I know the setup is good. I just cant get the SD3 to respond to the 5V. I have a feeling that it needs 12v on the input and the drive is taking that to 5V TLL level on the board. I am just not sure. Unfortunately I am not an electrical engineer, and can't get to board level with my current understanding. The book states the indexer is sending 12V. I dont have the indexer board, and can't find one
