Something weird is going on with my Z axis. If I am running a part and stop it so I can back up and do a "Run from here" the Z jumps to -30 (inches). So, after clicking OK the first thing that happens is it crashes past the limit switch to the point of grinding the motor... It seems to be completely random as I can sometimes run a part with tool changes and it will complete without errors.
After this happens for the first time I manually move the Z axis to the 0 point and reset Z to zero it will already have the -30 in the Z axis coordinates popup box, which is not changeable at that point for some reason.<O</O


I've searched the forums but didn't find anyone having this type of problem... If so, I couldn't find it. Hope someone has some idea of whats going on... Strange stuff...

"Run From Here" is pretty scary and does lots of crazy things. I started using "Set Next Line" and things seem to work much better because the file is parsed again and all the most recent settings are used for that line.

<O</OI understand that Run From Here can do strange things because it seems to run from the line before the one you select. So, it might go to -.45 on the Z before asking you to press start to continue. That part is fine, I understand and watch the machine very closely during tool changes and starting in the middle of a script. This is like something is getting corrupt or maybe even something to do with my Gecko drive?? I don't know yet but it sure is aggravating...<O</O
