The LED's for that are on the jog screen.
Had you mentioned this before I released it, I would have added it. But it's just too much work to re-arrange the screen right now. Adding a single LED anywhere requires several hours of work.

I need a few beta testers for the probing, and a few other added features. Only the standard 3 axis screen is ready for testing. I'll only send it to the first 3 or 4 registered users that want it. PM me.

    1)XY Probing Wizard

2)Zero to Laser Crosshairs. (X and Y offsets are stored in M890 macro)

    3)Button for Newfangled Wizard

4)Added Feedrate DRO to Status Bar

    5) Added option to ignore M6.

Sounds good. I'd offer, but I my machine electronics are going through an overhaul, so it's not running right now.

Man, now I need to get a laser crosshair??? Will the upgrades never end.

I don't have any limit switches installed yet, but I get the following warning when using the auto-Z (see screenshot).

It still sets the Z spot-on, but I would like to get rid of that error. Is there a way I can manually set the z-axis home manually so I won't get this warning?

Don't ask me how I know, but hitting the OK button on that warning isn't a smart idea with the aluminum flatbar still under the router bit...

I believe it explains this in the manual. (Pages 9 and 10)

Jog the Z up to the top of the travel, and click the Ref Z button.

Again, the manual says that one of the requirements is that the Z axis MUST be referenced.

In the screenshot you posted, your Z axis machine coordinate is 0.776
Z home should be Z=0, and the Z should never be above Z=0

Clicking OK sends it to Z -0.125, which is why it crashed into your plate.

I tried to make sure that it's nearly impossible to crash. Using a Z home switch is the only way to accomplish this, as Mach3 needs to know where the machine is in relation to the home switch.

You know what they say, try and make something idiot-proof, they will make a better idiot.

Thanks for your help, and for others who run into this problem, look on the top of p. 5 to see where the Ref buttons are. Just move your X, Y, and/or Z where you want to zero your machine and hit the appropriate button.

    Excellent Screen Set

    Hi Gerry,

Boy, you have done a fine job and are to be congratulated.

I spent some time yesterday installing your 2010 Screen Set. I have explored most of the features and find the placement and access to them to be very user friendly. The placement of both the Job Coordinate and Machine Coordinate DRO's side by side is an excellent idea. The large work view area is another bonus. The options you put in each of dialog boxes are well thought out and add to the ease of use of your screen set. The Semi-Automatic tool changer looks like it will be a real GEM. I haven't mounted my fixed tool plate permanently yet, but did test the operation with a temporary movable plate. I wired up the tool plates like you suggested and everything worked like a charm. That is a real time saver and will allow me to do tool changes of the parts I make on the router. The Park Position, Safe Z, and REF Home buttons are handy and easy to use. I might add that you have been very prompt in answering all my questions as they pertain to your 2010 Screen Set.

When I purchased my Shopbot router I thought I was pretty much ready to go, but have spent some time getting acquainted with Mach3 and the many options that can added to a stripped down machine to make it a really nice machine tool. The Super PID solved my RPM issues and your 2010 screen set has just added the whipped cream to the whole setup.

Thanks again for a GREATLY ENHANCED PRODUCT with SUPER SUPPORT and a price that is OUTSTANDING! Wish you the Best!

    DRO ??

Why is there another feedrate DRO below the Offset box and FeedRate Box?

I only see it because of my screen resolution but it's somewhere it doesn't look like it belongs. It has no label, but it does reflect exactly what has been entered into the regular feedrate DRO box.

I forgot to get rid of it when I added the one in the status bar. Just click the maximize button and drag the lower right corner of the Mach3 window to fit the screen, then you won't see it. You could also use a screen designer to delete it, as it's not needed.

Obviously I know how "not" to see it, I was just letting you know there was an orphaned DRO in case you were not aware of it.

    Thanks.
I've actually received several questions on how not to see it, which is why I posted the explanation.

There are some others off of the right side that do need to be there.

On a 1024x768 monitor, you can't see them.

    Unhappy

I too would like to thank you for your efforts on this screenset. I only bought this a few weeks ago and since then I've been working on building and configuring my machine. I've finally got everything working the way I want and was just about to cut my first part when it happened...
I first load my gcode and then click the tool change auto zero (double arrow) button. It zeros the Z and then goes to the stationary touch plate and does its thing there. After clicking continue it goes to the tool change position.
When I click the Continue button after the tool change Mach locks up completely. I have to reboot to even be able to run Mach again. Everything has been working great up to this point.
    What did I do?

Your probably using 3.43.022, which has a bug. You need to use either the latest development version, or an older version like 3.42.040 (available HERE)

    Hi Gerry

Don't know if this is normal with your screenset but when I click on some of the icons they turn black and stay like that untill I close mach3 down.
This has only happened twice machining today.
