If you all don't mind to spend a small amount of coin for big results. I found a little program that works fantastically with Inkscape for creating .dxf files along with SWITCHERS DXF14 update. Check it out at www.intocartoon.com.

Here is a wavy flag I made a bit more interesting using some of the sillhouettes I found via the link provided by W.T.

Here is a file I made to engrave a 11.75" mirror tile for the front room/library.
I downloaded it from Google images and it should engrave well with any machine.
I don't know if it is copyrighted but I can't find anything about it. If it is then please delete it from the forum.
Rich.
I am not completely useless.......I can always serve as a BAD example.

I just tried downloading 117 - 125. I can't open them. Have you done something different in saving them? I get:
Design125.zip\Design125.dxf is not valid DXF file
Invalid or incomplete DXF input -- drawing discarded.
Joe
What is possible? What you will!
These little guys started out as Switcher's design 115, thanks.
Along with snowmen, cherubs, & angels etc. from earlier posts, the tree should have lots of decorations this year!:banana:
I received this as a eps. I converted it to a jpeg. I need it in a dxf. Anyone help?
What is possible? What you will!
If you can post the EPS I could probably do a nicer one than trying to get it from the jpg -

Dave->..
I always forget about the zip folder. Here it is.
Thanks

I started working on this image the day I joined in on this topic.
I knew it could be done!!!
A good tools for this stuff print screen and microsoft paint....save as monochrome bitmap while in ms paint.
Then clean up the edges by tracing bitmap inside inkscape, and utilize the above mentioned tools again.('cept this time print the tracing inside paint) You can make useable art with the tiniest thumbnail this way....even full color images will work well!
Switcher, what program was you using to convert to dxf, before Inkscape? The problem is my program reads vertex, instead of Line.
Thanks
Bob
I was working with WinTopo ---> http://wintopo.com/wintopo-free.htm
What program are you running that won't read lines?
