First post here (see join date).. yes, long time lurker.. Currently work in R&D for a big prosthetic company as a machinist/programmer, also teach iso-programming at a local collage (Emco educational systems).
Mastercam user (x6 as is), worked on Siemens 840D as a control along with Heidenhain itnc 530. Mostly with DMG machines.. about to dive into Haas controls with 2 5 axis machines, UMC750 and VF2SS with add ons.

anyhow name is Sean, and i am a hobby machinist.... errr maybe better to call myself a backyard hack.
i have a few odd tools...or pieces of equipment to work with...
vertical mill
horizontal mill
2 lathes
a metal shaper
oxy/fuel welder, mig, arc,,, and soon tig and plasma cutter
and basic computer skills.
anyhow figured i would register....say hi.... and go back to making chips... provided wife doesnt kill me off for the tig and the plasma cutter purchase here in near future.
oh... BTW you guys are great and by reading posts i have learned huge amounts of info.... as besides forums like this and youtube i am self taught.... and generally in need of guidance.
