Thanks for the contact, your bar puller worked great, your whole build looks good in the video, I have a 140T as well, it is the same frame as the 220 just older

Hi Pete,
I have enjoyed reading about your retrofit, I just picked up a 120P and will be retrofitting it as well. Have you been satisfied so far with your max spindle speed and other machine parameters?
Cheers,
Jacob
Hi Jacob, I've been very happy with the lathe. Since the conversion, it has run flawlessly. I have set my max spindle speed to 4000 rpm, but I rarely go over 3000 rpm. The only drawback I had with the lathe was chips building up quickly in the tray. With the tool changer and puller, you kinda of see those chips pile up quickly

Excellent, too many chips is a good problem to have! Do you have any posts about how you implemented the bar feeder? I see in the video you posted you are using something in the turret to pull the bar, I would love to know more....
On my machine I have a complete T1 control and transformer so I am going to attempt to fire it up with RS-232 before I tear into it. We'll see how that goes.
Cheers,
Jacob
