    should I be just entering S10000 versus M3S10000... would the M3 portion of this command be changing something here?




    ehhem... got it figured. a bit more reading and searching and testing, I answered my own question. see above
    guess it was based in theory at least

    Yes. Found that out through the "more reading"part

    Mine just needed more tweaking between min and max on my spindle pulley selection to find the sweet spot.
    Now at S5000 I get between 4998 and 5000 reading, at S10000 I get between 10002 and 10005 reading, S15000 is 15007 - 15011, etc.
    All the way up I am within a few rpm away from BANG ON !

    This is all new but it doesn't seem all that difficult to figure out when sticking to the original plan of absorbing as much info as possible then test wherever I don't immediately understand it, figure out WHY it works the way it does, then move to the next challenge !

    I can see where this is going to be a very interesting endeavor all the way through.

    NEXT.... setting up my limits and homing switches and on to work offset fixtures.
