Just got my email with my FedEx tracking number, longs ways from Ca to Ny will take awhile but worth waiting for.

It sounds like everyone who ordered will be getting one. I wonder if any are left from the new shipment.
For those still wanting to get in on this deal. Go to the web site and select 'Order from Printed Catalog'. Enter 95012-0VGA. Click 'End and Display Choices.' Then add to order.
Or click this link and then click 'Add to Order'

The web site let me order one, and took my credit card number. Guess I'll wait and see if they ship it. Shipping charges were only $10.
Mine arrived today. :wee:
Sometime tomorrow I'll take it apart and clean it.
Even better my DRO-550 arrived today. :rainfro:
Got mine Yesterday as expected - got it all cleaned up and turned a little aluminum then a little steel - I'm very impressed!
Check out some pictures and some video HERE
First cuts - you win the prize!
Thanks for the video, that is impressive - great little machine - I'm thinking, like others, probably an excellent cnc setup!
Bummer, mine is still back ordered
I like your website and linked it to my favorites. You've already accomplished many projects that I plan to start, so I'll keep checking in for your updates.
Best,
Bill S
Okay, I'm in.
Used the catalog link from the previous post and it went through. Nice find. Thank you.
Didn't mention anything about being back ordered.
Tried this Harbor Freight 20% coupon. Ugh, no. "Get outta here kid you're botherin' me."
Wait and see.

Yup, You win! looks like a pretty good DOC for a tiny lathe. Cool video! I'll bet it's a lot easier to get a nice feed and finish turning the leadscrew compared to turning a crossslide by hand, as your not torquing on the gibs.
yea! I always knew I'd win something! LOL
yeah at one point in the video you can see a really deep DOC on the steel rod - the little guy didn't hardly flinch
I wasn't trying to push it, but I might do some tests today to see what I can get - plus I need some practice as I don't know what I'm doing yet LOL
btw - that's one of the cheap Harbor Freight cutting tools too - not too bad

Hope you get one too, John. I plugged the add on my model rail site, and quite a few got in on the deal: http://2guyz.info/Forums/viewtopic/t=6134.html
Received mine yesterday. Opened the box today and the accessories loose in the box. Only found one handle, but while cleaning found the other two stuck on the motor. It works fine and the max speed is about 3900 rpm.
Great! Glad you guys were able to get your lathes!
BTW: further email back & forth with sieg revealed that shipping will be $100 on the $229 order
I'm going to subtract some items from the list and resubmit for a new price. $229 is tolerable for the parts, but I can't do $100 for shipping, that's just stupid. I will subtract the motors, leadscrews, and all assembly screws to see what that does for to the price. I only hope the motors are standard NEMA 17's, else it will be trouble.
Carpet? I pictured myself being the poor slob that had the room after the mobile lathe operator left, waking up the next morning with my back in shreds and pulling back the bloody sheet to reveal a blue-stained mattress (dykem) with metal chips embedded in it. Along with a business card that said "Have lathe, will travel."
Ordered one today--might be too late but figured for $80 it couldn't be too bad. I have visions of converting this into a (hopefully accurate) tool-grinder/sharpener if it's not up to lathe work (I have a 7x14 already).
