Thanks for the compliments on the enclosure guys!!!

The parts are for the piccolo, feda, hornet.... or any other small elec helis. The new frame is for the FP piccolo. I have a few things in the works for my Raptor 30 as well.

Love the door on the enclosure too.
Do you have gas lifts on it how are you holding it up?
Does it help with the noise much?

Thanks!! No gas lifts yet, been to bussy trying to get this thing working right!!! At the moment I'm using a bungy(SP?) cord to a hook from the ceiling. And YES!! it does wonders for the noise!!

could you send some pictures of the rails? I was wondering, your machine looks smaller than some around here... I would like one about that size. What are the x,y,z dimensions?

What material are these liberty cnc router tables made from?
The cutting deck looks to be MFD. What is the red material?

What sort of linear rails does it have?

    Yeah, the enclosure...

    Is definately a winner...

When the "lid" is up, there seems to be enough working space.

When i would use this concept, there would be a little problem, because i dont have that much room above my machine.

Funny, my two biggest anymies in my project seem to be volume and gravity.

Good luck with the rest of your project. Are you gonna post those chopper / heli toolpaths on the FTP section?

Not the horse, of course of course...

    Doug,
Thanks for your post, "imitation is the most sincere form of flattery", so please consider yourself imitated! (appreciated) That is an excellent enclosure, I see it in my future.
Do you make your own CF sheet or can it be bought? ...like those parts too.
Man, there's a lot of guys doing cool stuff all over the place. Glad to be alive in this day and age.
    Take care,

    Topspin, here is the pic.

    thielert.
The red you see is aluminum.

    CNCadmin,
I fly(if you want to call it that!!) at a few local parks. Where are you at in Jersey, I'm about 3 min from the CherryHill mall?

    Mr.Ed,
I may post the tool paths after they hit to open market, and are there for a bit. If you like them shoot me a PM. I don't sell my products to the GP I only design, test, and manufacture, but beta testers are always needed!! I lay up all CF, and Firber glass in house.

    turkgeltz,
I'm so glad it got there!!! But, I hope the repairs are minimal. I stopped using UPS after they crunched a few of my boat hulls.

    machine ed,
Have at it Buddy!!!! I'm glad you like it. I needed somthing that would be simple yet give me the room to work!! That and I was all to happy to get rid of the spare wood and plexy I had around the shop.

Doug, I got a question for you. How many ipm can you run yours at and did you get any clamps with your? UPS bent up my back 2 feet, stripped loose the 4 screws that hold down the yz axis so that it wasn't even connected and floped around, with in turn poped out the bearing on the end of the x axis screw. He's overnighting me the parts tomorrow. He just got back in town and the problem was with the person he left to (run the store). UPS was so good that I found an envelope laying in the snow in my front yard, overnight express, urgent delivery, laying in the snow for someone 2 miles away. When I called him to pick it up, he said it was an already activated credit card! Nice.

I'm running around 15-20imp, but flashcut doesn't seem to let the machine run as fast as mach2.

Whet makes it even worse is that now UPS and all other shipping co.'s have there holdiday part timers in the mix!!! I hope he doesn't putz around with getting you the parts!!!

    Doug

Almost for got, no clamps with the machine. I use 1/4x20 bolts.
