Hi. I've been wanting to get into milling, on and off for a while.
Small stuff for now. I'd like to make my own water cooling blocks for hot spots on my computer (ex. CPU) out of copper. I think i could do better than what's on store shelves and I think it would be fun.
Also, I'd like to make one to cover my graphics card but no idea how I would get a CNC mill to reproduce the contour of the board electronics in a block of copper.
I am starting from scratch. No experience with a mill or CNC mill.
I keep reading that i should get an x2 mini mill. Should i just jump at one that's already upgraded with CNC stuff ? I'd like to do this very cheaply.
I know I could get that x2 from Princess Auto for $800. Used would be better. If i had money to burn, i think i would get a Syil x2 with everything i need.
Controllers... software... no idea what to get.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
