daewoo 8s lathe fanuc otc alarm 5 blown fuse but cant locate it.

    hi guys

have a 95mod 8s and today while the lathe was on but not running a part (i was at lunch) the control was flashing 'not ready' when i got back to the machine and the digital readout on the control (daewoo readout not fanuc) had number 5 on it. the daewoo manual says to check f1 f2 f3 f4 and f7 fuses as one is blown.
i have found f1 f2 f3 f4 fuses and they are fine. one is on the axis drive. the other 3 are on the power supply.
i can't for the life of me find the f7 fuse.
the drives don't seem to have any errors but the control wont power up so i can't say for sure they display ' - - ' on the digital display. according the the front of the drive it means 'not ready'

do any of you guys have any idea where the f7 fuse may be. Google has not helped and the fanuc and daewoo manuals are not helping.

    thanks guys.

What is the Serial number of the machine?

What is the control model, and version?

On some of the placards, there is a "hardware version" that tells me the exact electrical book to view and point you to the right location.
    (The attached example shows HP46H31UA11S24)

    What is your hardware version?

    Thanks for the reply
Attached are a few pics. On of the placard. Another of the circuit breaker that has tripped called qf23. And another of what I believe is the page I need to be looking at for the function of qf23 breaker. It would seem it is used in the power Input of the Cnc unit. I have not turned the breaker back on as I want to be 100% sure I have this correct before I do.
    Your thoughts?

Notice the schematic, where -QF23 is, there is a D2/1.7

Now notice the SHEET NO. to the right of the DRG. NO. of LF00E0980
    That SHEET NO. is 139

    Above the 139 is a designation of =. M3 sh.1

Turn toward the front of the book to SHEET NO. 36
Notice that the 36 has a =.D2 sh. 1 above it.

Notice the numbers 1 through 8 across the top and bottom of the page. These are column numbers.

We are on Section D2, Sheet 1, and we want to look at column 7
Notice that -QF23 is the overload breaker for:
    AC 110V Control circuit
    (Contactor, Relay, Valves control)

this is a 7 amp trip.

if there is MORE than 7 amps going through the breaker, then the breaker is doing its job...find the short and fix it.
If there is LESS than 7 amps (significantly) then the breaker is faulty, replace it.

    No insult intended:
If I need to go into more data as to how to diagnose this, you shouldn't be doing it.

Thanks for the info. All makes sense. Had a brief look at it today and I notice that the wires going to the chuck and tail stock solenoids are brittle and need the insulation snaps if you bend the wire. I will replace the wires.
I reset the breaker and turned the machine on. It powered up long enough for me to home it then tripped the breaker again.

Now if I reset the breaker it trips a few seconds after the Cnc is turned on.

Solved the problem. It was a coil in the chuck open/close hyd solenoid. Measured it with the multimeter and noticed it was faulty. Removed it and stole a coil from the tail stock solenoid and we are making parts again.
Now to order a replacement coil tomorrow
    Thanks for your help.
