Have a stepper motor system with probotix breakout board, drive...
I wired in a homing switch that I was told should be wired N/C going from ground to pin 13.
Set up EMC2 with pin 13 as home X without the invert check box being checked in config. wizard.
Axis starts to go toward the switch and then an error comes up "home switch inactive before start of latch move"
Checked the Hal and the switch is showing true when normally closed (away from the switch) and when I push it in the hal shows false.
I changed the config so the invert check box is checked and now it homes but it will move a little then stop, go, stop, go... until it reaches home.
Does not look like I'm getting any false signals or at least while I'm watching the hal view I don't see it going from true to false while it is homing.
Anyone know what causes the error "home switch inactive before start of latch move"
And does anyone know what the invert checkbox does to the set-up?
Thanks for any help.
Probotix: RF-PBX breakout board, Uni-polar stepper motor drive set to 1/4 step, Green Monster stepper motor 400 oz-in, 32V power supply. Running 5:1 gearhead with a 5mm pitch ball screw. Probotix is running smooth and great repeatabliity.
