i was on the internet and saw this http://www.imagetogcode.com/ and i downloded it and wanted to create a coca cola logo just to try if it would work and it did.
but when i wanted to import the program to my scm xilog i could not use it so i was wondering if any of you had some tricks to put .ncd, nc, iso,txt,or ngc files to working pgm file

HI... i also have a question about this ...
I am in the process of just learning about CNC'S now i came across the site mentioned , while trying to convert a j-peg image to g-code .. up to that point had no problem . then put it on a flash drive .. entered it into the machine ... nothing.... i can only presume it;s either the wrong type of g-code or something simple that i am missing..
anyone point me in the right direction ..

The g-code is probably in the wrong format. It also needs to be converted to a binary file, too.

I use a Morbidelli 636. First, you need to get the program to output the correct format. This usually entails modifying the post processor.

Once you get the code in the correct format, then you need to convert it to binary, using WinISO, which should be on the machine PC somewhere. You point it to the g-code text file, and it outputs a binary .pgm file.

just to let you know i am new to this .. but i am picking it up .. and really want to get the hang of this machine.. and codes.. am in work tomorrow and will look up the WinISO,

I don't really know, as I've never used image to g-code.

Looking at the basic .pdf manual on their site, it looks like it doesn't use a post processor. In that case, you'd need to manually edit the code to be compatible.
The main things you need for the Morbidelli is the header, or the first few lines of code. Also, the last few lines.

Also be aware that rapid moves are handles differently than standard g-code. The Morbidelli handles rapid moves on it's own. What's important is that you get the start of the cut correct. It should look something like this:

G0 X=-.5 Y=16.25 Z=-.25 E=TLLEN V=8890 S=16000 T=101

My recommendation is to study some working code until you have a good understanding of the Morbidelli code.
