    Drawing a threaded shank

Anyone help me with drawing a threaded shank. I want to draw a threaded shank that is 1.062 diam. 1 " long and 16 60 deg. V threads. I am not sure how to do it. I am using 2007

    Thanks for your help!

I have done these before and it is a very long, frustrating task in BCC. Why not just download the free version of Alibre Design Express and do it in 5 minutes.

Can I save the alibre file as something that bobcad can open and then build the rest of my part from there?

    Thanks

    Yes,

Even the free Xpress version (after registering it) will save as a stp format. Bobcad gets along very well with Alibre step files.

In addition to what Tjones said Alibre Design comes with Acrobat Adobe Publisher V8. This will allow you to send images that your customers can view without CAD Software. It has abilities like Rotation and Zoom. One of the best parts is that the PDF will only allow them to view your model with no editing or dimensional information.

Alibre Design Express V10 is FREEEEEE!!!!!

    Good Stuff with Alibre
