    Is the slideway lubrication adjustable?

We have a lot of oil getting into our coolant from the oil coming from the slideways. Does anyone know if the amount of oil, or how often it dispenses lubricant is adjustable?

The machine is a Mazak QT-8N with a Mazatrol T32-2 control

I bought one for it, but my boss remembers when the guy was here teaching us how to program it and stuff telling him that you could adjust how much oil it uses if we find it to be using to much. So he wants to adjust it in the machine, but that guy don't answer questions about that he just says he'll get back to me and I never hear from him.

How would you know how much is enough to safely lube the guides? Turning it down is taking a big risk but if you must know there is a adjustment screw in the center of the plunger handle. turning it will shorten or lengthen the stroke of the plunger and adjust the lube flow amount. Good luck.

You will never see a Mazak with power on rust! Sorry, I'm off topic.

Hi some mazak lube systems have jets that have different holes sizes which control the amount of lube, the pump may be able to be set to work for longer or shorter periods. Its better to have a little too much than too little

I WOULD SURE CHECK FOR A BROKEN LINE BEFORE ADJUSTING ANY LUBE. PLAYING WITH THE LUBE SYSTEM COULD BE BAD.

Live with it , its cheaper to buy oil than spare parts.
the collecting channels that colect the oil redirect them to to a separate container to stop the oil going to the coolant tank.
    cheapest solution
    hope this helps

Re: Is the slideway lubrication adjustable?

Hello guys, Does anyone know if using a FANUC or Mitsubishi CNC is possible control the slideway lubrication by distance? Sinumerik (Siemens) CNC has that option available.

Current configuration on the machines is for time but continue running while the machine is stopped so We think that change time by distance will be better.

    example in sinumerik (Siemens):Attachment 328266

Can it be, yes. But you would need to re write the ladder.

Yes, what I need is an example of the ladder because in Siemens is a function block already prepare for do that and I didn't see nothing similar in FANUC.

Could you help me with some documents or examples?

    Thanks a lot.
