    Hi ,

For choosing a machine , you need think about the working material ,
like thickness ,size . and then you can choose the watt ,size of the machine

In China ,700mm length small tube , it is very hard to get 40W , normally is 36W -38W

The machine you said ,is a very simple machine , the control board ,also with the
driver function for the stepper motor , not a good one , also the power .

i have modified this simple one machine , with DSP control system , independent drivers for the motor .
Up and down working table , honey working table, laser head with air assist ,and red laser dot .

For information , please be free to contact me anytime, i will try my best to solve your questions .

    Regards

    Hi Frank,
    Your modified machine seems interesting.
I need to do mostly logo and name engraving on plastic and wooden pens.
    So I think 40 - 50w is good enough.
How much will it cost include everything such as shipping, duty tax, etc?
    Warranty?
How long dose it take get here in USA?
Do you have web site that I can see the products and specs?
    Thanks
    Yoshi

So, I ordered Frank Wang's modified k40 with DSP control system.
His machine's spec is similar to the one I mentioned here except his machine has DSP and honeycomb table.
Total cost include shipping is $1460 (machine $1080, shipping $385). It's $587 higher than the one I mentioned here but with DSP and honeycomb table, I think it's justifiable and Frank seems helpful guy here. I hope my decision was right one. This is my first laser so I'm excited but also anxious. I will post my experience when I receive the machine hopefully in couple of weeks.
