The Siemens 802s shows on their (Siemens) website to be a stepper type servo, is that correct?

    802s is for stepper

    802c is for servo.

If you want to use a 4th axis, the 802c is 3 axis only, you will have to buy another model of controller.

I really would like to buy the new V7 but lack of response and lack of email keep me on my guard.

I'm not sure I would send them more than $20000 and never get any replies about my purchase and the 380v really surprise me, another spending for a step up transformer, only have 220v in my shop.

Looking for a reply from their side. Hope they'll see this post and answer, if not, they will loose another possible customer, ME

But they will blog about great things they will do , but without service even before the sale is poor... what about after the sale?

    great service makes great company's

Yes, they will probably reply something like:

    Syil better than Novakon

    Better design, etc

But they will not answer what we ask them about their own products.

    I`m sorry,it is 220v AC 3 Phase.

also,we use 802s,and v7,it is full servo machines. no any relative with stepper..

but problem it is only for 3 axis workings....

if add 4th axis ,the cost not cheap..

we are also communicate with funnc wait for them quote 4th axis controller cost..

Give credit where credit is due. It is a nice machine, looks well finished, has a toolchanger, coolant etc.
With it being 3 phase it wont be for us, but that comes with the servo's and controller.

It will probably be quite a bit more expensive if it makes its way to Europe so would probably be as cheap to get a good used 2nd hand Haas or Bridgeport VMC over here.

Still it is a very nice looking machine which I wouldn't mind having.

    Looks like a nice control.
The 802S is listed as stepper motor controller
SINUMERIK 802S base line CNC from Siemens Energy & Automation, Inc.

Same one as used by optimum on there cnc machines with stepper motors.

    Optimum Machines: F100CNC

The servo version is used on these

    Optimum Machines: F100TC-CNC

In this catalogue several of the machines used 802S control also

Yes it is a very nice looking machine!
Most people will not have 3 phase power, but a phase convertor could be an option.

Just wondering what the price will be ?

Low 20's I am guessing with Seimens controller is made in that country anyway.

With servo systems, phase converters are not recommended generally.

Things i would like to see and know. How big is the coolant tank? because you said it has flood coolant but in those pics did not see where it comes from. 2. What are the rapids for the machine and are you able to use a USB to download files. What size is the memory with that controller. i am not sure what those measurements are in mm could you give us US measurements like in inchs for the height, length weight etc. What is the biggest tool that can go into the ATC. What kid of time are we looking at for a tool change. **** machines now are doing tool changes in less the one second for a Haas DT1. Which i think is around 34 grand. A Superminimill is around that price too. If this is priced in the high 20s goodluck selling it you will need it. For a first generation VM from Syil you can not have massive problems or you will never get a good reputation. I would like to see stuff that like the inside of the machine more close up pics too.

the coolant in the bottom of machine, and this ATC not faster change tools as haas DT1.but we also have quickly ATC,then cost will up.
anyway,we will make more pic and video when webpage done..

    Axis travel - X axis: 15.74''
    ******** - Y axis: 9.44''
    ******** - Z axis: 15.74''

A carousel type atc will never match the speed of the swing arm. Probably 5 - 8 seconds vs 1 - 3 seconds. The Fanuc Robodrill, Haas DT1 or Brother 32 B are the quickest you will get.

It would be my argument too though. Around the 20K mark you are into Haas Mini Mill, office mill and used VMC territory and it might be tough territory. With it being 3 phase it wont make any difference to small workshops as 3 phase will be needed so add 3 - 4K.

i don`t think v7 in same range compare haas machine,
    just check price at here:http://www.haascnc-asia.com/IMAGE/20...ice%20List.pdf

    DT1,OFFICEMILL,MINIMILL,MINIMILLS.
both start price at 45000$.. DT1 at 55000$ start..
if add 40pcs tool change tp40,need add more 8500$.

we later will use another controller which have 4th axis control, the cost will no more add 1000$.

so,i think we are in different range of price...
anyway.thank you for you advise too..

That is true but I mean't used machines. Example

    8243 HURCO Model BMC-2416 CNC Vertical MC, 2000 - eBay (item 280617594283 end time Feb-16-11 07:47:54 PST)

But not to take away from the V7, it looks very nice and well finished and I look forward to seeing the video but if I was to purchase 3 phase power for a VMC I would probably get a used Haas or Hurco.

I have learned alot over the past three yrs with my Syil X4 Plus. I cut nothing but 316LVM Stainless and Titanium ELI. I hav etaught myself everything and i have crashed and burned a few times. I am now going to be a full time student at B.C.I.T in Vancouver Canada, and in 4 yrs i will hav emy journeyman ticket as a CNC Machinist Technican. Once i am done school i would like to have my own job shop with some production. I like Syil i do but if i jump into a VMC there are so many used VF2 and VF1 and minimills out there and for a really good price. I love the look of X7 i think it looks sharp. I am just not ready to drop 20 plus on it. Syil i think you guys are doing a good job but there are a few loose ends that need some attention. I think with a few tweaks here and there your market share could go up. Thank you for the support and i will continue to use my X4 and learn more and more each day. I am looking foward to seeing what you guys have in the pipeline for a lathe.

I would like to buy a used VF-1 or similar machine but I've been working long enough in the industries with CNC that I know how much it cost to fix those kind of machine.

Haas TM-1 (used) was one of my choice but at only 4000 RPM, this is not enough for me and with the ATC, this add $10000 to the price.

A minimill cost about $45000 but comes with nothing, you have to add $10000
as options, + $2500 shipping + all taxes , will end up to about $60000.00

    Well over my budget.

I think I could go with the V7, the only thing I don't like is the 2.2Kw spindle (3HP).

I think a 5HP spindle would have been great but again, today with high speed
tool path, you take only light cut at higher feed.

I would rather buy a Haas pro VMC but mine will be only for fun and hobby, maybe some contract here and there.

For us in Eurpoe it probably wont be an option as the X4+ costs $7094 + shipping (UK) so I can only imagine that the V7 with shipping weight will be over €30K so the new Haas DT1, TM1 or Bridgeport VMC would not be all that more expensive.
