    Basic Machining/Milling books/resources?

Hello, i was curious if anyone knew of any books that outlined the basics of machining/milling? I would take a class at the local college but i just don't have the time. I have access to a 3 axis cnc mill that can also be run manually. I am just looking for basic information on the different types of cutters, hold-downs, vises etc and what applications they can be used in, and the different milling techniques. Information on how to calculate feed rate for cutting different types of materials and at what depth each pass can be cut at as well. If anyone knows of any resources be it a book or online that can help me out i would greatly appreciate it! Thank you all in advance.

There's a book titled "The amateur's lathe" by Lawrence H Sparey. Published by Model & Allied Publications, Argus Books Limited, Argus House, St James Rd, Watford, Herts.

It's an old book (last print 1976) but worthwhile to read.....

I recently purchased a book titled "Turret Mill Operation" by John G. Edwards. I covers the very basics of operating a typical Bridgeport style knee mill. It discusses different types of attachments and cutters that are often used as well as the basic operation of these mills. It's a very good book for beginners.
