Woo, if you don't mind, be very thorough with the electronics part (pictures and all), I'm going to get into that in few weeks and I'm a bit terrified, lol I'm going with G540 and Keling's as well.
Don't forget to heatsink the G540, there have been issuse's on the larger amp motors and Gecko just did testing on this issue this week and posted a writeup.

Joe
geckodrive doesnt sell a heatsink for the 540 where could i get one that would mount to it easy
In his experiment he did not find any difference using a heatsink and using a 120mm fan blowing on it. or use a computer heatsink with fan attached to it, and use adhesive thermo.
I ordered a 120mm 48 volt dc fan to put on my gecko and also got my router and new computer case in today . I will have pictures of the router bed today. I also should have almost everything glued and ready for paint by friday.

bkboggy We wired up some of the gecko serials today and well the pdf and xml at www.geckodrive.com are pretty self explanitory on the wiring and setup for the g540 . if there is any question just ask!
Sweet, hope it all works. I'm going to be wiring mine hopefully in a week.
