    learning

    I am self teaching myself the art of milling. where can i go to get basic beginner info on this topic. i already am designing and working with the machine but have no basic metal training. i do have cad training so that helps.

    get a grade 11 or 12 machine shop textbook. In keeping with their intended purpose, they usually do a good job of covering the basics and are presented in a straighforward, well illustrated manner not requiring a lot of previous knowledge.

    Check out "CNC Handbook 2nd Edition" by Peter Smid. It sells on Amazon for about $45.00. It is a good book.
