Hi everyone, first time for a long time posting so bear with me on this.

I have one of the sangmutan motor and speed control packages running on my HM45 milling machine, which has been used as a stand alone unit for sometime (successfully I might add), However I now wish to control it (spindle motor) via MACH 3. We have the motor starting and stopping and reversing from the mdi input but cannot control the speed ( just goes to max speed (6000rpm).
My question is what is the correct pin/output hook up for the pwm wire from the motor control unit?
Im sure someone must have done this already and any input would be gratefully received.

    Thanks.
    Phil.

    Hey here, Hi.
i also have a sangmutan. Mine has a 500 watt motor attached and is coupled toa taig milling head.

I would suggest the long 4-pin wire wired between TTL terminals.
TTL has the rx and tx pins in a 4-pin package.
I haven't wired it to mach 3 yet though and would be interested in how you do that.

I'm pretty sure the instructions are the same as the 2200W

Hi Guys, Thanks for the input.
I had the PWM connected correctly (step pin) but had the setting set to active low, I changed it to active high and all is good.
Had to calibrate the speed to the tacho using the pulley setting and the whole thing works well.

I was reading thru the thread and was wondering how these work with the G540? Connection? I would be interested in the 1100w for a Grizzly (0619) SX3. Currently doing a write-up on the LMS Spindle Control board but this might be a better option. For the $99 invested, I would gladly move to a better capable motor, driver and tach capable solution.

    Thanks, Matt

Re: Want to control your spindle with Mach3 but can't.. Maybe this helps.

    Here is another SX3 owner in need to replace the motor controller, my 3rd one. Sick and tired of the quality displayed so far by the past products. I don't mind replacing parts and pay for the quality but so far it has let me down. Contacted the original vendor (do not wish to name it) but I was told that they no longer support it and do not have any way to acquire another motor controller board. Investigated other sources like Grizzly, LMS and Keling (Automation Tech), the latter maybe the same outfit (Keling/Automation Tech) not sure of it. In any event they seem to offer the solution in one package, instead of having to buy controller, motor, spindle front panel switches and display. My questions are the following;

    1) For those who are using the Keling/Automation either KL1160 or the KL2200, have there been any issues to date with the drive and motor. Are you satisfied with the product?

    2) It seems to me that using a KL2200 motor will not fit into the SX3 head cavity. Has any body been able to fit this motor in the SX3 head cavity?

    3) Presently I have two working brushless dc motors, ZM-W92-1000A, 110V 3500RPM, 12Amps, 1000W (original stock)...would these work with KL1160 motor controller?

Thanks for any feedback, I would like to understand a bit more before I pull the trigger for another controller/motor.

    Carlos

How are these working now? I'm looking to upgrade my g0704 700W motor.

Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the c11g BOB for use with the 2200w setup? Trying to figure it out with bad instructions and terrified of frying something...

    Thanks advance!

I found those, I am using the analog 0-10v, not pwm... I was mainly looking for connections to the c11g breakout board for start stop and forward reverse... Could you share that? My 2200w controller has a fan on the back and it's the new version controller.

    Thanks!

That's what I was wondering, I interpreted the instructions as a momentary signal to ground to start and another momentary signal to ground to stop... Vs what would make sense which would be low signal start and high signal stop or vice verse....

Can you enlighten us on how to control the start stop function via a c11g breakout board?

    Thanks!
