Fourwheeler,
What are you trying to do to the aluminum? Are you trying to remove grind lines, polish ?
There are many types of media out there that can do alot of things.
I am trying to remove machining marks and then bring the parts to a high polish finish.
Fourwheeler,
The best thing to do since you are having to remove some grind lines, not knowing exactly how bad they are, I would get a heavy plastic meda, it comes in many different colors but color does not really mean anything, its just an identifier in the manufacturing process. The plastic should have an abrasice in it. This step may take a couple hours depending on your equipment. After this step parts will look cloudy but it will have a very smooth finish.
Then you will need to run parts in a treated cob media. Usually this cob is green, but I have also seen it in red as well. You can run it in this media as much as you want, even overnight if needed. The longer it runs the more Chrome apperance it will have.
If you need help finding these media's let me know.
