Radial rapid moves around axis are jerky

Does anyone know what parameter setting smooths out radial rapid moves? Lets say I want to move off the part on a 5x mill, and rapid in 180degrees using basically C axis, then come back in on the other side of the part.

I get a bunch of G0 lines to accomplish this that break up the arc into about 20 smaller G0 linear moves butt the machine pauses between each of the moves.

    Anyone know what's up?

cam program doesn't matter. These are rapid moves.

Imagine a series of G0 lines calling out a trace of a decagon (ten sides) around the C axis. as the machine interprets the rapid segments, it is only moving the C axis, but instead of just rotating 360 degrees in C smoothly, the C axis pauses ten times where each of the rapids start/end.

basically your not usually contouring in "G0" your only positiong if you want this motion smoother ghange them to a "G1" with a feed of F9999. see if that is more what your looking for.

G1 with high F output helps but the rapid override dial on the control doesn't slow these down and the NC has to be re-posted.

On a DMG, the radial rapids are smooth and continuous. It is only on a fanuc control. Anyone? Machine dealers are no help on this unfortunately.
