Sinumerik 810M buttons do not respond

I have old Reichenbacher ranc210am router with Siemens 810M controller. It was powered year ago then left. Now I'm trying to move it again. First problem is that Emergency stop release button light is on and I cant extinguish it, no button from that panel (Reichenbacher) show any respond only light test button. Second, almost all buttons from siemens panel do not respond, those which respond do different function than it should. Here is controller photos ImageShack Album - 2 images

Go to PROGRAM softkey, then press DIRECTORY.
    Look for any program inside.
If no programs in the memory, the control don´t have machine data.
Can you post a better photo for the screen MANUAL?

I think that controller lost it program because of dead battery. This is video of controller [nomedia="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bZoU-pgUJWY"]YouTube - 100_7309.MOV[/nomedia] Now I searching for cable, think RS232 should do.

I found cheap RS232 cable Pin25:M - Pin25:M 1.8m LEMONA - Elektronikos dalys , and noticed that old computer motherboard has such connection for printer. It is possible to make connection with this?

Hi just want to join this. I conected to diffenent CNC controllers and you can make your own cable. you find your pin configuration here

DNC software. CNC and DNC settings for Siemens - Sinumerik 810M.

The old PC is a good choise. But you have to use the COM port not the Printer port. Normaly this is a 9 pin. Do not use a USB to Serial converter because you need 10V on the high signal but the USB to serial only gives you 5 Volt. this means you will probably do not have problems sending programs from you CNC controller to your PC but you will not be able to send data from PC to the CNC controller

I will try to connect to a Sinumerik 810M to take a backup. Anyone know if there is a easy way to take a full backup. Programs, PLC program and Machine Data??

    5013 11000111 (for 9600 baud)
    5014
    5015
    5016 00101000

    INIT PARAM MENU

    DEL LOAD DEL LOAD LOAD
    PMCN PMCN PMAP PMAP PMCMU

I never use LOAD PMCMU. because sometimes making problem. when you upload and download.

this is not HDD. You loading in RAM. After the load PMCN you must format Mem Util and Prog Piece. If you dont format this. you can not use all RAM for load.

the Parameter settings you listed here I belive is with 9600,7 databits, even parity and 1 stop bit. That worked for me

I see that on the aggsoft hompage it says

    Parameter 5011= 11110111 (9600, even parity,2 stop bits)
    Parameter 5013= 11110111 (9600, even parity,2 stop bits)

I had the parameters that you wrote so I did not changed the parameters. Just used Hyperterminal and downloaded everything I managed to download
