in the post, you said that you use sherline 1/2 pulse mode setting. so,

step time = 1000 ns
step space = 6000 ns
direction hold = 24000 ns
direction setup = 24000 ns

Sorry but I dont understand these timing settings, I dont see these any where on my setup.
I dont use the same drives as you ,but they would be similar to your setup.
My drives are the GMD-02 RTA.

do you use emc2 or mach3?

oic..i asking this for latency test in emc2..
i'm not very familiar with mach3..
is that in mach3 dont use step time, step space, direction hold & direction setup to setup? hmmm im confuse now

You can download mach3 and have a look at the settings, it will give you the full version but only allow 500 Gcode lines untill you buy the licence key.
