    STEPPER DRIVER MOTOR AMPS

I have been looking at stepper motors on the internet and the motors all have an amp rating, but it doesn't say whether the rating is RMS or peak. Do most manufactures use RMS? What is the best way to set the drivers. eg. using the rating on the motor or measuring it under load with an ammeter? I was looking at longs, wantamotor, easy cnc, infoshine15, and others.

Use the rating on the motor. Check the documentation for the drive to see whether to use rms or peak. The chinese drives are the only ones that seem to have that option. Most others are just set to the motors ratings.
