Can anyone explain to me how I go about measuring how much cable chain I will need for each axis? Thank in advance.

WOW, I thought sure someone could give me a quick answer to this question.
McMaster has a good drawing that shows this but it depends on a lot so its really only going to be useful for McMaster chain. Its usually a little longer than half of axis travel, that number of course depends on the size of the axis and the chain size. My plasma table X axis has about 110" of travel and the chain needed to be a foot longer.

Thanks so much for that link tjb1. That really helped me figure it out. I guess it's always to be a little than short.
Here is my thread that has the pictures of x and y chain http://www.cnczone.com/forums/showthread.php?t=154609
I cant figure out how to do pm's with tapatalk.
It was broken and I could't change icons at bottom, deleted cnczone and now its working again...oh well.
If you go to the Igus website, you just enter dome dimensions and it will tell you how much you need. You need to go to the product pages to find this.
