I'm learning my way around Mastercam 5 and 6, but I can't seem to figure out how to display the origin. I know it's a simple fix, but can anyone point me in the right direction to where I find that setting?

Hold your mouse in the Drawing area and then press F9. That will display your Origin
So simple, yet so effective.... Thank you!
your very welcome
I bet it was in the help file all along.
Other tips, alt F1 (Fit to screen) alt F2 (unzoom)
Buried somewhere, I'm sure, but it's not easy to find in several searches. It sure helps to be able to tap knowledgeable people, though. I'll make sure to do the same when I have skills in this software...
You know It took me years to get where I am with Mcam.. Keep at it Once you get it you will love it. any more problems feel free to ask.
When you get the Mastercam install disks, in that box is a handy fold-out ready reckoner
- it lists the basic shortcuts, F-keys, tips, etc
- it can also be found in the Documents folder under the Shared McamX5/6 folder directory
-- read it, and keep close to the PC---very useful for new starters.
others are
[Alt-1 to 6] = different views
[Alt-F9] = part info, (crosshairs & scale) ON/OFF
[Alt-t] = toggle toolpath display ON/OFF
[Alt-o] = toggle operations manager ON/OFF
[Alt-s] = toggle shade / unshade the surfaces/solid
[Alt-a] = do an autosave
the value input areas ( when colored yellow ) can be used for single level calculations, plus you can input "25.4mm" when in imperial config will change to "1.0" & visa-versa
Just a thought the Documentation folder is under you main MC install located under your C: drive.- it can also be found in the Documents folder under the Shared McamX5/6 folder directory
For X5 this will be located in the C:\Program Files (x86)
As for X6 if you did the 32 bit install same location as X5. if it is the 64 bit then it will be under C:\Program Files.
Also I would get away from the F9 Axis controls and turn on the Gnomon to see were your axis is especially if you use WCS for your parts.
